They are small plants and sometimes not very conspicuous. However, if you take a closer look you will observe some of the major traits that characterize them and you will be aware of their great morphological diversity. The following pages are just a small example of this group of plants commonly known as bryophytes.


This website, Bryophytes of Stanley Park, is a site where you can find general information about this group and a sample of the most common species that you can find along Tatlow Trail in Stanley Park, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

This website is the term project of the BOTA 505 Class of 2005-2006 in the Department of Botany at the University of British Columbia.
