Tuition Fees
Assessed tuition fees for 2021-22 are approximately $5,197.59 (Canadian) and $9,131.31 (International).
Most International students are eligible for an International Partial Tuition Award.
Graduate Student Fees
All UBC students are assessed student fees. These fees help cover costs of resources available to students.
For 2021-22, full-time graduate students are required to pay approximately $1052 per year in student fees (including the U-Pass) and $264.63 for the AMS/GSS Extended Health Care Insurance Plan. Most of these fees are mandatory, but some have opt-out provisions.
International students will be charged an one time i-Med fee at start of the program to cover the 3-month waiting period between first arriving in Canada and the start of the basic Provincial health insurance coverage (MSP). 2021-22 rate: $225.
